BOUND

'BOUND' is a fashion editorial magazine that draws on the themes of the classic film Billy Elliot, questioning the social stereotypes of masculinity by tying ballet and boxing together. Creative director, stylist and photographer, Jack Dickinson creates a narrative highlighting his style which is recognised by its clean and neutral aesthetic, with a touch of romanticism. The editorial features bold shapes and forms prevalent in both sporting realms. Line, direction, contrast, and as previously mentioned shape, are key elements to the publication. The symbol ‘X’ is a motif relating the two worlds together. While both ballet and boxing require a lot of strength, 'BOUND' works to highlight both the grit and the softness of the two and how they are laced together.
